Buyers can make it earlier

The Buyers can bring the Settlement Date earlier, by giving the Sellers at least 7 day's notice - but cannot bring settlement earlier than ___/___/___.

(NOTES: Having “or earlier” on a contract doesn’t necessarily mean one or the other party can demand an earlier settlement date XE "settlement date" . This Clause gives the Buyers power to demand such an earlier settlement.)

Buyers can make it later

The Buyers can make the Settlement Date later, by giving the Sellers at least 7 day's notice - but cannot make it more than _ _ _ _ _ _ _  weeks after the original Settlement Date.

(NOTES: This clause gives the Buyers power to extend the settlement date for up to a specific period XE "settlement date" . It may be useful, for example, where the Buyers have to complete some work on the Property prior to settlement, or obtain approval from Council prior to settlement.)
